about me

→ amy. 21. dutch, but fluent in english. hopes to one day be a translator for the european union. my timezone kind of sucks (gmt+01/cet). sorry.

→ i primarily rp in harry potter fandom, but i am attracted by the shiny and easily tempted into something new. other smaller fandoms I have played/will consider playing in are: merlin, robin hood, good omens, the chronicles of narnia, love actually, leverage, and i am sure there are others. i also love costume dramas and am something of an anglophile. the american high school system confuses me, so good luck trying to explain it to me if you want a line in a setting that relies on it.

→ i prefer playing with people i actually know in some shape or form. nothing personal, but it's nice to have a feel for someone's writing style and personality before getting into a storyline. there's some creepy people around! however, this is not a complete strict and fast rule.

→ my games come first. psls are on the side, and while i am committed to them i should be able to go without posting for a week or two if rl is too busy or we simply don't feel like playing for a while. i am flexible and able to pick things up again at any time. obviously, communication is key here. i'll let you know if something is up that will keep me busy for a while and would appreciate it if you did the same. this is supposed to be fun, after all, and i have enough pressure going on in life!

→ i love playing hufflepuffs, girls, trio era, the bones family in every era imaginable, quirky characters, nerds, spontaneous characters, healers, and middle-aged grumpy men (don't ask). i'm slowly becoming more comfortable playing boys and slytherins, though i'm still not very good with the whole strict pureblood society business that some people are keen on. i'm eager to branch out, however!

→ shipping is fun, though i am just as happy with friendship or family sls. that said, when it comes to ships: het, gay, lesbians - it's all good. what's important to me is development and making things believable. i love my fluff and am a sucker for a happy ending, but there's nothing like some delicious angst to throw in their paths before we get to that.

→ i'll only write sexy scenes with people i have played with for some time and am completely comfortable with, and even then it's not a necessity. fade-to-black is your friend!

→ i'm all for plotty goodness and adventure type storylines! it's fun to explore aus or what-if situations, even if they are completely crack-y.

→ gdocs are awesome. so are threads and logs in general. aim, not so much. i generally set up journals for my psls and post there.

→ i am a pb snob. i like looking at pretty things, and that includes icons that aren't bordered, too dark, too light, or simply fugly. sue me. my characters are generally inspired by pb, and i don't like using the same face over and over.

→ the same goes for basic spelling and grammar. if there's so many mistakes that it leaves me itching for my red pen, i'm likely not going to play with you for very long. i also have the bad habit of correcting other peoples' spelling in gdoc if i catch a mistake, so if you're weirded out by that, feel free to tell me and i'll quit it.

→ at some point i will probably post a list here of sls/characters that i am interested in playing. for now though, feel free to hit me with your best shot!
